Who can access your data

Only SugarWatch Europe. Our host, OVH SAS, stores the website and its technical logs on our behalf, in data centres located in the European Union.

Fonts. The typeface used on this website is hosted on our own server. Your browser does not contact Google or any other font provider when you visit us.

Embedded charts. Our article on added sugars in infant formula shows interactive charts hosted by Airtable. When you open that article, your browser connects to Airtable, which receives your IP address and processes it under its own privacy policy. No other page of this website loads content from a third party.

Sugar tracker. The tracker on our guide to added sugars saves the foods you add in your browser’s local storage, so that your list is still there when you come back. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by deleting the site data in your browser settings.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@sugarwatcheurope.org; we reply within one month. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

Cookies

This website uses no audience measurement, advertising or social media tracking cookies. It only uses technical cookies needed for it to work: a session cookie (PHPSESSID) and cookies that remember the articles you have read or saved for later (aae_visited_posts, readLater). They stay in your browser and are not shared with anyone. Links to our LinkedIn and Instagram pages are simple links: these platforms only collect data if you click through to them, under their own policies.

If we ever add an audience measurement tool, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
